NSS has an outstanding track records in executing solar projects of different types and capacities and utilizing different technologies. One of its remarkable achievements was the successful inauguration of the first grid-connected commercial solar plant in Saudi Arabia at King Abdallah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), a 2 MW roof-top installation that was commissioned in 2009. Farasan Island project was the second grid-connected solar project in the kingdom, a 500KWp CSI Thin-Film ground-mounted system which was commissioned in 2010.
